Operating Procedures for Ignition of Natural Gas Kiln

With technological development, various new types of tunnel kilns including mobile and rotary tunnel kilns have been widely adopted by users. The natural gas kiln is one of the mainstream models. However, many operators are unfamiliar with its ignition steps. Here, Yonghua Machinery provides detailed operating guidelines.
We divide the ignition operations into two scenarios:
Start the exhaust fan. When the internal negative pressure stabilizes between -100 Pa and -120 Pa, wait for 5 minutes then start the combustion-supporting fan for ignition.
Open the manual vent butterfly valve and the main gas valve, then activate the solenoid valve. Adjust the natural gas pressure gauge to the specified ignition pressure. Close all unignited burners.
Ignite burners in groups at intervals. After stable combustion is confirmed, close the manual vent butterfly valve.
Start the primary and secondary exhaust fans. When the internal negative pressure reaches -100 Pa to -150 Pa, wait for 5 minutes and start the combustion-supporting fan.
Open the manual vent butterfly valve, main gas valve and solenoid valve, and set the natural gas pressure to the ignition requirement.
Note: Perform ignition only when the kiln walls turn red. No need to take out ignition tools. Keep idle burners closed. Ignite burners group by group sequentially.
After ignition, inspect all lit burners for normal combustion. Once confirmed, close the manual vent butterfly valve.
