Cooling Procedures for Emergency Shutdown of Tunnel Kiln for Maintenance

1. Before shutting down the kiln, push around 10 empty sagger-loaded kiln cars into the kiln, followed by empty kiln cars continuously.

2. Gradually reduce the total draft of the preheating zone according to actual operating conditions.

3. After empty cars reach the high-temperature section, extinguish the flames gradually from the front to the rear of the firing zone. Fully shut down all combustion chambers and burners once product cars move out of the firing zone.

4. Continue feeding empty cars at the normal speed. Adjust cold and hot air volume in the cooling zone appropriately to cool finished products at a controlled rate before discharge.

5. Adjust the tension of tie rods on the kiln top in a timely manner as the internal temperature drops.

6. Stop feeding cars when the kiln tunnel is fully occupied. Turn off fans in the cooling zone, open flue dampers and kiln doors, close all fan dampers, and open all emergency access holes.
